Overview
Welcome to the Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at VCU. Our mission is to mentor future CRS leaders through education, research, and superior clinical care. Fellows receive state-of-the-art training in surgical care and management of colorectal disease, including anorectal, abdominal, endoscopic, robotic, and laparoscopic surgery. They also gain in-depth knowledge of colorectal disease, understand social and economic factors impacting medical practice, and explore ethics, quality assurance, and evidence-based medicine. The program offers flexibility for community or academic practice, with the ultimate goal of achieving Board Certification through the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. The entire Colorectal faculty and team ensure a robust educational experience for each fellow.
