Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants/physician associates, registered nurses, nurse practitioners and other healthcare practitioners who care for GI patients.                                                                                               


Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the epidemiology and pathophysiology of esophageal disorders like GERD, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, and Barrett’s Esophagus
  • Differentiate risk factors that contribute to the development of esophageal disorders, including lifestyle factors and pharmacological interventions
  • Explain how obesity and metabolic diseases intersect with esophageal disorders
