ABOUT S. DAWSON THEOGARAJ, MD

In 1972, S. Dawson Theogaraj, MD accepted an invitation from Dr. I Kelman Cohen to help start a new plastic surgery division at VCU Health (formerly, Medical College of Virginia—MCV). In just 6 years Dr. Theogaraj advanced from assistant professor to full professor and became one of the outstanding members of the faculty.

During his 12 years with the division he was able to train 20 plastic surgeons that would help him fulfill his goals and objectives as a surgeon and educator. To this day the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery sponsors the annual S. Dawson Theogaraj lecture.
