H. M. "Hyung Mo" Lee, MDAbout the H.M. “Hyung Mo” Lee Memorial Lectureship

VCU School of Medicine, and the Divisions of Transplant and Vascular Surgery join with Hume-Lee Transplant Center in establishing this lectureship in honor of the memory of Dr. H. M. Lee.

Dr. Lee, who passed away in 2013 at the age of 86, was a pioneer in transplant surgery and was Professor and Chairman in the Divisions of Vascular and Transplant Surgery at VCU Medical Center from 1973-1994.

His legacy lives on through the H. M. "Hyung Mo" Lee Memorial Lectureship, held annually during Surgery Ground Rounds. This year marks the 4th Annual Lecture and will be held at the Kontos Medical Sciences Building Auditorium.

Through the generosity of Dr. Lee's many friends, colleagues, former students and residents, as well as the Lee Family, this Memorial Lecture will mark the legacy of Dr. H. M. Lee for the Divisions of Vascular and Transplant Surgery, as well as for future generations at VCU Medical Center with this annual event.
