Dr. Campos has expertise in minimally invasive surgery and therapeutic endoscopy for esophageal and gastric diseases, including minimally invasive esophagectomy and gastrectomies; minimally invasive bariatric and metabolic surgery including revisions; and also minimally invasive general surgery.

He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and a member of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT), Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), Central Surgical Association, Pacific Coast Surgical Surgical Association, among others.

Research Interests:
Dr. Campos’ research has focused on treatment outcomes after minimally invasive and endoscopic procedures for esophageal and gastric diseases and obesity; and the study of changes in glucose regulatory mechanisms after bariatric surgery. He has authored or co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles and chapters in books, has performed live surgery demonstrations in 5 national meetings, and has presented his work at more than 150 national and international meetings.
