CLINICAL SCIENCE

Neurologically impaired children with severe, recurrent gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), after a failed fundoplication, are frequently readmitted to the hospital due to recurrent aspiration and respiratory illness. We theorized that a laparoscopic gastroesophageal dissociation (LGED) may decrease rates of aspiration and hospital readmissions as well as improve quality of life (QOL)
